Job Description
Radiology Technologist - Cardiac Cath Lab

Schedule

M-F between the hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. One to two weeknight on call, every fourth weekend.

Job Description

The Radiology Technologist will work in the Cardiac Cath Lab and will be responsible for preparing patients and equipment for procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile technique and safety standards. Routine tasks include verifying package integrity and expiration dates on all sterile supplies, documenting procedural data, and providing patient comfort while familiarizing them with the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Verify package integrity and expiration dates on all sterile supplies.
• Prepare patients and equipment for utilization of sterile technique.
• Monitor and record all procedural data and maintain procedural event logs.
• Provide patient comfort and explain equipment and supplies needed for procedures.
• Apply necessary monitors and prepare access site(s) including sterile drapes.
• Scrub into procedures using sterile and aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
• Advocate for radiation safety and protection for self and coworkers.
• Document fluoroscopy time and radiation doses, ensuring values are within safety limits.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Graduate of accredited radiology program - Education verification required.
• AART registered.
• Wisconsin State Radiology Technologist License.
• Cardiovascular Technologist registered.
• BLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification.
