We at LWHS are proud to call ourselves “Volunteers” in honor of volunteer firefighters who responded to the scene of a derailed propane tanker in 1973. Richard Lee Williams, principal of Kingman High School and volunteer firefighter at the time, and nine of his fellow firefighters, died in the line of duty on July 5th, 1973, when the inflamed Doxol propane tanker exploded. They left behind families, friends, and an indelible mark on the hearts of the entire community. We honor their memories by taking pride in our school and making every effort to continue their legacy and to be our best selves each and every day.At Lee Williams, we welcome all students and strive to provide opportunities that match the unique goals and needs of our students.
