Base salary range: $150k to $225k Quarterly and annual bonuses up to $50k Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with generous firm match and profit sharing Generous PTO and paid holidays 1,800 annual billable hours — structured to support sustainable, long-term practice Hybrid remote — 3 days in office, 2 days remote Job Details Work hybrid remote out of any of the following locations: Beverlyn Glenn/Los Angeles, Carlsbad, Sacramento, Oakland, Corona, Fresno, Bakersfield. Lead legal oversight of real property acquisitions and dispositions for K-12 districts, community colleges, and public entities, from due diligence through closing. Make sure transactions comply with statutory and regulatory requirements. Review title, zoning, easements and property due diligence. Draft, review and negotiate leases, vendor agreements and facilities service contracts. Provide legal oversight of facilities operations, school renovations, relocations and capital improvement projects. Draft and review public bidding documents, then negotiate the resulting contracts. Make sure procurement complies with competitive bidding and public entity rules. Structure contract terms to address liability, indemnification and district-specific interests. Resolve disputes involving leases, vendors, and suppliers of equipment, materials and services. Give general counsel-style business advice: detailed contract review and research to answer client questions. Explain complex legal issues clearly and practically to district administrators.
