The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care across the lifespan in accordance with organizational standards, policies, and evidence-based practice. The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered services. The RN collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes, safety, and positive patient experience.




The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse provides comprehensive care to obstetric patients during labor, delivery, recovery, and the immediate postpartum period, including fetal monitoring, newborn care, and emergency response. This role requires close collaboration with providers and neonatal teams to ensure safe outcomes for both mother and newborn. Must be competent in the use of all equipment in specialty. On call may be required.

• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Alaska or other U.S. state required. Direct hire must have applied for an Alaska nursing license at the time of hire. Agency staff must have an active Alaska license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) are all required
• Clinical competency required within 3 months and every 3 years.
• High Risk Competency required within 3 months and every year.
