Job Opportunity

Position: OR Circulator

We are seeking an experienced OR Circulator with strong skills in both general and robotic surgery, along with expertise in orthopedic and neurological procedures. The position requires availability for 5 eight-hour shifts with variable start times and includes on-call responsibilities.

Job Details

• Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:15 - 14:45); Day 5x8-Hour (10:45 - 19:15)
• Location: City and State
• Call Requirements: Call required, including 2 weekends per contract and 1 call shift per week.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years required in a surgical setting; travel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all service lines excluding heart, vascular, and total joint procedures.
• Perform room turnover, pull cases, and manage supplies, including stocking rooms.
• Provide patient care in a fast-paced environment with a daily average of 10-20 cases.
• Be prepared to float to the Main OR as needed based on case volume.

Qualifications

• Experience: Strong general and robotic surgery skills required. Additional experience in orthopedic, urological, and plastic surgeries is preferred.
• Certification: BLS certification required.
• Patient Age Groups: Must be comfortable working with adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
• Charting System: Experience with Community Hospital charting system is a plus.

Orientation and Training

The orientation will include:

• Day 1: Virtual Orientation
• Day 2: On-site Training
• Day 3: On-site Additional Training and EMR Education

Up to 2 hours of pre-start modules are billable, typically requiring about 3 hours to complete. Module completion will be tracked via transcripts.

• Candidates must be willing to float within the hospital as needed.
• Former employees must have been separated from the facility for at least one year before reapplying as a traveler.
