About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Chemo Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:45 - 17:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years of Oncology-specific experience License: Valid Nursing License Certifications: BCLS, ONS Chemo/Bio Card (a must) Must-Have: Central line experience Description: This position involves administering chemotherapy and caring for patients. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of Oncology-specific experience. Traveler experience is accepted, and first-time travelers are welcome. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. There is no weekend requirement for this position. The unit has 10 infusion chairs to accommodate social distancing. Daily patient diagnoses include adults over the age of 18 with hematology and medical oncology conditions. Staffing includes IV teams, interpretation services, phlebotomy, and pharmacy support. Pre-shift COVID screening is required as part of the job. Candidates must be open to potential floating within the facility. All time off must be pre-approved, and there is no RTO during the first week of employment. Candidates must be available for required classes during the orientation week. All required certifications must be obtained before starting. References can be pending at the time of submission. Pre-start modules are required and conducted online.
