You'll serve as a Senior Aerospace Inspector Job Snapshot Location: Buena Park, CA | Onsite Pay: $27 - $40/hour Employment Type: Permanent Placement Work Type: Full-time Experience Level: Senior Level Opportunity Summary This is a critical, senior-level quality role within a precision die casting manufacturing operation producing components trusted across automotive and aerospace industries. You'll serve as a technical authority on the shop floor, guiding inspection standards, mentoring less experienced inspectors, and ensuring every part meets rigorous customer specifications. Responsibilities Lead inspection activities for complex die cast components, verifying critical dimensions and customer-specific requirements. Perform advanced dimensional analysis using CMMs and other precision measurement systems. Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T requirements to lead first article inspections, PPAP submissions, and capability studies. Investigate significant nonconformances and lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone methodologies. Mentor and provide technical guidance to Inspectors I and II while supporting ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED required. 5-8+ years of progressive quality inspection experience in manufacturing, including die casting, machining, automotive, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environments. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, stand and walk frequently, and perform detailed inspections with precision measurement equipment in varying temperature environments. Preferred Associate degree or technical certification. Expert blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation. CMM operation and reporting proficiency. Working knowledge of SPC, MSA, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and capability studies. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality systems. Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
