Position Purpose Primary role is to grow and retain profitable relationships. This is accomplished by focusing on the delivery of value‑added solutions to our clients and prospects that will help them reach their goals and maximize our revenues over the life of the relationship. You will be a fully experienced, qualified relationship manager capable of independent activity. You should have proven client relationship skills, extensive product knowledge, technical expertise, and strong transaction execution skills. Credit process management is a critical component of your job. Performance will be measured by your effectiveness in many marketing areas, including but not limited to calling activity, proposal generation, revenue generation, risk mitigation, ability to build successful relationships, and propensity to help build the franchise for the long term. Essential Functions and Basic Duties Solicit commercial clients; aggressively seek and obtain quality new business through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross selling efforts. Obtain and maintain COI’s and attend various networking events in the assigned geographic area. Apply loan structuring and credit analysis skills and experience. Generate a wide variety of commercial and real estate loans. Close loans typically in the $1 million to $10 million range. Contribute to deposit growth by cross‑selling and promoting additional banking products. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This role has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance or another related field is preferred. Experience: Formally credit trained and/or underwriting knowledge and experience is preferred. Typically, a minimum of seven years direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships. Knowledge: Familiarity with sales, loan processing and closing processes. Extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services, including working knowledge of C & I as well as Owner‑Occupied and Investment Commercial Real Estate loans. Skills/Abilities: Ability to expand loans, client relationships and cross‑sell bank products. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and a proven track record of business development. Average hearing – able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Repetitive motion – movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Language Ability – read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias. Professional Writing – prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
