Job Description
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team! You will support the finance department with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks, helping keep our financial records accurate and up to date.
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily bookkeeping, including entering and maintaining financial transactions in the accounting system
- Process accounts payable, including entering and verifying vendor invoices and preparing payments
- Process accounts receivable, including invoicing, posting payments, and following up on past-due accounts
- Process and record check deposits
- Process and reconcile company credit card transactions
- Review, process, and track company expenses and employee expense reports
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Reconcile general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end close
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records and files
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an accounting clerk, bookkeeper, or in a related field
- Experience with AR/AP, bank reconciliations, and expense processing
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Good communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Associate's degree in accounting or a related field is a plus
