Job Description

As a Security Officer Badge Control in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecom location where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and support security-related operations through strong customer service and communication. In this role, you will remain visible to help discourage incidents while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and innovative approach, putting people first and delivering through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and help to deter unauthorized access at the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and reporting them through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, and other designated areas, noting unusual activity and/or conditions that may require follow-up.
• Support reception and visitor management functions by maintaining accurate access records, issuing visitor badges and/or temporary credentials, and communicating site protocols clearly and professionally.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
