Key Qualifications Previous experience as a Nursing - ORT or Surgical Tech (Non-certified) Proven knowledge of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and surgical procedures Skilled in preparing operating rooms and supporting surgical teams before, during, and after procedures Strong teamwork and communication skills to effectively coordinate with surgeons, nurses, and ancillary staff Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations and prioritize tasks efficiently Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred Key Responsibilities Assist with preparing the operating room, ensuring all equipment and supplies are sterile and functioning Support surgical staff in positioning patients and maintaining aseptic technique throughout procedures Pass instruments, drapes, and other sterile supplies as needed during surgery Monitor and maintain accurate count of instruments and sponges Execute post‑operative clean‑up and instrument processing in accordance with established protocols Facilitate efficient surgical workflows and respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively Maintain detailed, accurate documentation related to surgical cases This contract position offers a unique opportunity to refine your surgical support skills while contributing to positive patient outcomes in a respected clinical setting.
