This role is ideal for welders with structural steel experience who can read blueprints, fit parts accurately, and produce quality welds in a fast-paced production environment. What You'll Do Fit and weld structural steel components used in utility poles, substations, and other utility structures Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings Perform Metal Core, Flux Core, MIG, and TIG welding as required Lay out, fit, and assemble parts before welding Operate overhead cranes to move material and finished assemblies Gather materials and components needed to complete assigned projects Inspect welds for quality and ensure work meets specifications Follow safety procedures and production requirements throughout the fabrication process Required Experience Experience with structural steel fitting and welding Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols Experience with Flux Core, MIG, TIG, or Metal Core welding Strong measuring and layout skills Ability to work independently and determine welding sequence from prints and specifications Ability to pass: Math assessment Weld symbol test Manufacturing assessment Metal Core fillet weld test in the 2G position Preferred Qualifications Fabrication shop experience Utility pole, structural steel, or heavy industrial welding experience Experience operating overhead cranes Experience working in a high-production manufacturing environment Why You'll Like Working Here Multiple schedule options to fit your lifestyle Three-day weekend on weekday shifts Competitive pay with overtime opportunities Stable, long-term manufacturing work Modern fabrication facility with large-scale projects Opportunities to develop advanced welding and fabrication skills Safety-focused culture with strong team support Career growth within a growing utility manufacturing division Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing facility producing steel utility poles and utility structures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Claremore, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.24 - $29.35/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
