Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in California
- Experience providing PT services in schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, educators, and families
- Creative problem-solving skills and flexibility in meeting students’ needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical therapy assessments for students with varied abilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, supporting each student’s academic goals
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to promote student success in the school environment
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Document services provided and maintain compliance with regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations
- Educate staff and caregivers on strategies to enhance student mobility and engagement
