RN - Behavioral Health

Position available in the region's largest and most comprehensive emergency department. Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Night shift from 19:00 to 07:00 with every other weekend commitment. Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health team. The RN will provide care for patients in an acute behavioral health setting, ensuring their safety and well-being through effective communication and strong de‑escalation skills. The RN will work within a 33‑bed unit, managing a patient ratio of 1:10. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the acute behavioral health unit. Engage in strong de‑escalation techniques to manage patient behavior effectively. Document patient care and activities using the EHR system. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
