Maintenance Technician

Job Details for: Maintenance Tech

1. Schedule: Training on 1st shift 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. move to 2nd shift After Training
2. Pay Rate: $24.00

Job Responsibilities & Description for: Maintenance Tech

1. Dismantles, moves, installs, or repairs machinery and mechanical equipment
2. Examines machinery or mechanical equipment; identifies reasons for malfunction and completes repairs and/or maintenance.
3. Uses hand tools, power tools and testing instruments to repair and maintain production and ancillary equipment.
4. Cleans plant facilities, equipment, and work areas as required.
5. Installs new equipment and systems. Repairs and maintains current equipment and systems as needed.
6. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
7. Follows established safety and environmental policies and procedures, and promotes continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance in the work place.
8. Performs special program tasks, such as annual and semi-annual PM's.
9. Assists with training and instruction for production related equipment to operators.
10. Participates in Kaizen Events such as 5's, set-up reduction and TPM.
11. All employees are responsible for reporting food safety issues to those who can initiate corrective actions.
12. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements for: Maintenance Tech

1. Strong mechanical skills- (advanced training helpful).
2. Problem solving skills- identifies and resolves in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops alternative solutions, works well in a group solving situations.
3. Technical skills- strives to continuously build knowledge and skills, shares expertise with others, pursues training and development opportunities.
4. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
5. Reasoning skills- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in situations.
6. Electrical troubleshooting skills (advance training helpful, industrial electricity).
7. Basic machine shop and welding.
8. Good communication skills.
9. Must have good math skills.
10. Must have good organizational skills.
11. Must have an excellent attendance record.
