Founded in 1972, we've grown organically from a one-person import wine business into an international drinks company whose hallmarks include a portfolio of luxury wineries and iconic beverage brands, including White Claw® Hard Seltzer, Mike's Hard Lemonade, and Cayman Jack.Role Purpose:The Laboratory Technician will perform routine lab and packaging analysis on raw materials samples, product samples, both in-process and finished, to ensure quality and specifications are sustained. The Laboratory Technician works with a high attention to detail and a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment. This role will work closely with all departments, particularly Brewing and Packaging. The Laboratory Technician will operate and maintain various lab equipment/instrumentation along with following all laboratory SOPs.Accountabilities & Impact:Perform routine analysis and provide timely and accurate data to all departments.Evaluate finished goods quality and audit processes throughout production to ensure all specs are met and plant is operating within desired parameters.Proficient in Good Lab Practices, keeping a clean and safe laboratory.Proficient in Good Documentation Practices throughout the laboratory and all other departments.Learn and understand processes throughout the facility to better assist with troubleshooting, determining root cause, isolating and dispositioning holds.Assist in managing non-conforming products, including escalations, to ensure they are not released without further analysis and Quality Manager approval.Help to develop quality information records and display data clearly and effectively.Follows all Standard Operating Procedures and established workflows.Operate and maintain lab equipment/instrumentation, not limited to Alcolyzer, DMA, pH meters, titrations, GC, HPLC, spectrophotometer, etc.Skillful with following procedures on how to properly use, clean, and verify instrumentation.Prioritize work in a fast-paced environment to limit downtime and keep operations moving.Proficient in general computer skills such as email, Excel, Word and using internet-based applications.Support laboratory inventory.Support the Sensory Program if trained and approved.Participate in the Safety Programs to ensure safe operations for yourself and peers.Participate in the Food Safety Program to ensure product integrity and food safety.Skills & Experiences Needed:High School or associate's degree or 2+ year's applicable experience required.Laboratory and/or beverage manufacturing experience in food/carbonated beverage/alcohol preferred.Must be at least 21 years of age.Willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends/holidays.Strong analytical skills. Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.Knowledge of good laboratory practices, including sample prep, handling and record keeping.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work while multitasking.Demonstrate motivation and a good work ethic under minimal supervision.Must work effectively in team environments.Proficient with basic computer applications, including Excel, Microsoft Office, and Word.Statistical process control skills and use of statistical analysis software preferred.Working conditions:Fast-paced and constantly changing work environment.12-hour shift, 2-2-3 rotation, possible off-shift and holiday workAnalytical Laboratory and Manufacturing Environment include: Potential exposure to odors, fumes, airborne particles and hazardous chemicals, noise level varies from quiet to loud, temperature varies from hot to cold.At Mark Anthony, we exist to Unearth the Extraordinary:Our Purpose is not just a statement; it is a call to action that binds us together and ignites our passion for making a difference.
