R&D Equipment Development Engineer-Photolithography Track

We partner closely with suppliers and global fabs to bring next-generation memory processes to life. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers who are passionate about solving complex manufacturing challenges and pushing technology forward.In this role, you will lead the development and optimization of photolithography track equipment and processes that directly impact yield, performance, and scalability. You’ll collaborate across sites, influence supplier roadmaps, and bring new hardware from concept to high-volume manufacturing. Your work will play a key role in enabling future memory technologies.Responsibilities:Lead track equipment development and supplier engagements to meet roadmap requirementsDrive installation, qualification, and optimization of photolithography track systemsInvestigate process excursions and implement solutions to improve yield and performanceDevelop and optimize track recipes to meet defect, cost, and throughput targetsCoordinate multi-functionally to define equipment specifications and improve manufacturing alignmentMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent experienceValidated experience with photolithography equipment development and maintenanceStrong understanding of track processes and equipment control systemsExperience fixing defects, uniformity issues, and process deviationsAbility to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environmentPreferred Qualifications:Advanced degree or equivalent experience in a technical field associated with EngineeringExperience leading equipment installation or hardware development projectsKnowledge of semiconductor manufacturing workflows and fab operationsExperience mentoring developing engineers or leading small technical teamsExperience using AI-assisted analytics to enhance data interpretation, anomaly detection, and yield improvement initiativesAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
