Job Overview A law firm seeks a Partner - Employment Defense in Boston, MA. This senior role involves managing complex employment litigation and providing strategic oversight within the practice area. The ideal candidate will have significant litigation experience and a portable book of business, contributing to the firm's growth and reputation. Duties Lead and manage complex employer-side employment litigation in Massachusetts state and federal courts. Serve as lead counsel in arbitrations, mediations, and administrative proceedings. Represent employers before state and federal agencies. Develop and execute litigation strategies and oversee trial preparation. Provide proactive employment counseling on compliance with employment laws. Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements. Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development. Mentor and supervise associates and paralegals. Support firm leadership and strategic objectives. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Active bar membership in Massachusetts, in good standing. Minimum of 7-8 years of relevant employment law experience. Portable book of business of at least $500,000. Proven success in complex employment litigation and advisory matters. Strong client management and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with document management systems preferred. Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) Certifications Active bar membership in Massachusetts Skills Exceptional professionalism and leadership presence. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
