Traveling Superintendent (Commercial Construction)
Location: Southeast Region - United States (Travel Required)
Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 (salary depends on experience) 

Position Overview

We are seeking a Traveling Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial construction projects across multiple locations. This role is responsible for managing on-site construction activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

The ideal candidate has experience with big box retail construction and is comfortable managing fast-paced, multi-site projects with frequent travel.

Our client is an established general contractor known for strong preconstruction planning, subcontractor coordination, and quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site construction activities from start to finish
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope
• Coordinate inspections, safety compliance, and quality control
• Review drawings and specifications for constructability and execution
• Track daily progress, site issues, and project reporting
• Maintain jobsite safety in compliance with OSHA standards
• Lead site meetings with subcontractors and stakeholders
• Resolve field issues and coordinate with project management team
• Support project closeout, punch list, and turnover

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent 
• Strong commercial construction experience; retail preferred
• Experience managing field operations and subcontractors
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively

Preferred

• Experience with big box retail or multi-site rollout projects
• Ground-up and/or open-store renovation experience
• Familiarity with Procore or similar field management tools
