This individual is fully accountable for the program’s budget, scope, change management, and schedule, and must bring deep technical acumen to engage credibly with engineering, architecture, and delivery teams on complex technical challenges.These programs carry significant organizational impact, requiring strong team leadership and the ability to guide and support program resources across the organization.The Senior Technical Program Manager prepares and delivers program updates to senior leadership, escalating to C-suite stakeholders as needed on critical items, and must be comfortable operating in that environment. This role requires a strong leader with a proven background in an engineering organization and demonstrable ownership of programs of increasing scope and complexity.Job ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end accountability for one or more technical programs of multi-year duration within an assigned product/platform area, including budget, scope, schedule, and change management, escalating deviations as needed.Provide guidance and mentorship to project or program managers who may be matrixed to support program(s) under the TPM’s program roster; this is a matrixed, individual-contributor role without formal reporting authority.Apply strong technical acumen to engage credibly with architects, engineers, and technical leads, and to evaluate the technical approach, feasibility, and risk of program deliverables.Develop and maintain an integrated, multi-year program schedule inclusive of all milestones, dependencies, resources, and constraints.Own program budget management, including forecasting, tracking actuals against plan, and managing variance across the life of the program.Establish and enforce formal change control processes to evaluate, approve, and manage scope changes throughout the program lifecycle.Exercise judgment in evaluating risk and proactively establish mitigation plans as appropriate.Prepare and deliver regular program updates, dashboards, and status reporting to senior leadership, escalating to C-suite stakeholders as needed on critical items.Partner with business and technology leadership to ensure programs remain aligned with departmental and enterprise objectives.Facilitate negotiations and drive consensus across cross-functional stakeholders on resource constraints, priorities, and trade-offs.Perform other duties as assigned.Understand and adhere to all corporate policies, including but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent work experience.One or more relevant professional certifications required, such as PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP (Program Management Professional), or an Agile certification (e.g., CSM Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP).8–10 years of demonstrable ownership of projects and programs of increasing scope and complexity, including full lifecycle accountability for budget, scope, schedule, and change.3–5 years of experience working as a resource within an engineering organization or technical consulting group; ability to demonstrate a strong technical acumen and the credibility to engage on deeply technical program content.Demonstrated experience owning multi-year programs with significant organizational impact.Experience partnering with assigned project management resources leading related individual workstreams.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience preparing and delivering program updates to senior leadership audiences.Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline.Experience in the payment industry, including knowledge of payment channels, billing systems, fraud prevention, and regulatory requirements.CompetenciesKey Position Capabilities / Experiences Technical acumen and credibility with engineering and architecture teams.Program and change management.Risk identification and mitigation planning.Verbal and written communication, including senior leadership reporting.Cross-functional stakeholder management and negotiation.Licenses and CertificationsPMP, PgMP, or an Agile certification (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP) requiredApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
