Adjunct Faculty, World Religions - Department of Philosophy & World Religions

The Department of Philosophy and World Religions seeks qualified adjunct faculty for various world religions classes, including World Religions (an introductory survey), Intro to the Bible, Spirituality and Healing, Spirituality and Nature, and Religion in America. Some of these courses are offered online, but candidates who can teach in person are preferred. Qualifications Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in a relevant field. Previous university-level teaching experience is strongly preferred. Application Process Applications submitted through this process will be screened on a rolling basis, as the need for new instructors arises. Applications will be retained for possible future semesters of employment. Salary In compliance with the State of New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 (after 9/1/2026) per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year.
