Materials Management and Transportation Manager

Job Description Materials Management and Transportation Manager position in the S&S Materials Management and Transportation team, located in Auburn, Washington or Puyallup, Washington. Position Responsibilities Manages and integrates employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Supply chain and/or Materials Management. 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high‑stakes discussions. At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large‑scale cross‑functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) or completion of Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.” Willing and able to work any shift, including weekends and holidays; may require scheduled and unscheduled overtime. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree. 5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. 3+ years leading critical projects. 5+ years of experience with Supply Chain, Supplier Management, and/or Procurement practices and processes. 5+ years experience with materials planning or inventory control process role in a manufacturing environment. Experience with safety and quality processes. Aerospace or manufacturing experience. 5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification. Shift 3rd Shift: Monday through Friday, 10:45 pm to 5:45 am. Conflict of Interest Successful candidates must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest assessment process.
