Youth Director
- Teach, encourage, and train the kids, moving them toward maturation as a discipled young Christian.
- Run weekly Youth Group meetings, prepare age-appropriate Biblical lessons, etc.
- Counsel Youth on an individual basis Biblically, and maintain contact data.
- Coordinate, train, equip and motivate volunteers and mentors.
- Meet regularly with the Pastor for accountability, oversight, mentoring, assistance, etc.
- Prepare year-end reports.
- Oversee Youth budget and spending.
- Coordinate Youth events, identifying the purpose of each (i.e.; Outreach, Service, Personal Growth, Fellowship, etc.)
- Work to integrate the Youth Group with the larger church body.
- The Youth Director is expected to attend First Covenant Church on a regular basis, if possible, both as an example to the Youth and as a way of staying personally connected with the church family.
- Provide/arrange rides to church functions for Youth kids (when necessary).
- Network with other local ministries (i.e.; YFC YouthNet, etc.).
