Community Manager

Our client is a professional membership organisation operating within the analyst and influencer relations industry. They are looking for a Community Manager to take ownership of their membership, campaigns, events and content operations — playing a key role in maintaining their voice and image.

This is a full-time role responsible for managing membership, campaign, event and content operations, and contributing to maintaining the voice and image of the organisation. Duties include authoring and publishing content on multiple media platforms, organising and documenting board meetings, interacting with members and prospective members, and maintaining metrics to build and improve member engagement and retention.

Member Growth

• Recruit, onboard and renew members, ensuring membership fees collection and member satisfaction
• Liaise with members for day-to-day enquiries and reach out proactively on a weekly basis
• Continuously update and maintain the membership database
• Build and nurture relationships with members, potential members, and relevant industry professionals to grow the community

Operations

• Monitor and report on feedback from member engagement and respond to member queries in a timely manner
• Plan and execute all social media and communication campaigns to promote webinars, papers and in-person events
• Manage presence, membership and content for LinkedIn and Twitter
• Organise and participate in events, including taking minutes and recording attendance

Experience

• Proven work experience as a community manager, in customer success, account management or sales
• Experience launching community engagement campaigns (e.g. organising a webinar, project managing an in-person event, and writing an email newsletter)

• Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. repeat attendance at events)
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Excellent writing skills
• Hands-on experience with social media management for business
• Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
• BSc degree in Marketing or relevant field
• Technical familiarity with website management (WordPress), membership management tools, event management and payment platforms, and social media (LinkedIn and Twitter)
