Interim Controller

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY Engagement Type: Contract / Interim Hours: 8:30-5:00 | M-F Hourly Rate: $70/hr Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Interim Controller that has experience working through a NetSuite implementationto step into a critical role supporting an ongoing ERP implementation. This consultant will provide continuity for the project following the departure of the current implementation lead and help guide the organization through a successful NetSuite go-live. The ideal candidate will bring hands‑on experience leading NetSuite implementations, managing integrations and data migrations, and partnering closely with finance teams. In addition to implementation leadership, this individual may provide interim Controller‑level support as needed throughout the engagement. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee the ongoing NetSuite implementation project through go-live and stabilization Assess the current implementation status and ensure a seamless transition from the departing project lead Manage system configuration, workflows, testing, user acceptance activities, and deployment planning Coordinate and support data migration efforts, including financial and operational data uploads Partner with finance leadership to establish accounting processes and controls within NetSuite Assist with integrations between NetSuite and existing payroll, purchasing, and other business systems Conduct user training and provide post-go-live support to finance and operational teams Serve as a resource to key stakeholders across finance and operations Provide interim accounting and Controller support as needed, including process documentation and knowledge transfer Qualifications Proven experience leading multiple NetSuite implementations from planning through go-live Strong accounting and finance background with Controller or senior-level accounting experience Experience with ERP integrations, data migration, testing, and user training Ability to quickly assess project status and execute in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Hands‑on, collaborative approach with the ability to coach and support internal teams Familiarity with NetSuite integration tools and platforms Ability to support day‑to‑day accounting operations as needed Ideal Candidate Profile Highly adaptable and comfortable stepping into projects midstream Strong problem‑solver with a hands‑on mentality Able to balance strategic implementation leadership with tactical execution Experienced working within growing organizations undergoing change and process improvement initiatives Collaborative partner who can effectively train and transfer knowledge to internal staff #J-18808-Ljbffr CFS
