About the Position

ICU Float Nurse Registered Nurse ICU 13 weeks Night 3x12-Hour and Day 3x12-Hour Rotation 12 hours per shift Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience required in ICU. License: California RN License required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: Float required as needed. Weekend rotation required. Description: The ICU Float Nurse will work in a true full float position across multiple campuses. This role requires standing by to float as necessary. Nurses may be scheduled at different campuses for each shift. Travelers will be notified 2 hours prior to their start time regarding where to report. The position will include caring for patients in an ICU setting, managing complex medical needs. Nurses will be responsible for critical assessments and monitoring of patients' conditions. Core competencies include arterial line management, ventilator management, and central line care. Emergency medication administration and the ability to interpret dysrhythmias are essential. Candidates must have experience with multi-system organ dysfunction and critical care protocols. The role involves familiarity with advanced medical equipment and procedures in an ICU environment. The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care. Compliance with safety and infection prevention protocols is mandatory. Candidates should have strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This position may require floating to Step Down units and Emergency Departments if necessary. Only one holiday per contract may be requested.
