Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

This role focuses on troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial equipment and machinery in a drywall manufacturing facility. You will support continuous production by maintaining mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with a strong emphasis on conveyors, ovens, and related process equipment. The position starts with training on first shift and then transitions to a regular second or third shift assignment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment and machinery
• Maintain and repair conveyor systems, including belt conveyors and screw conveyors, to ensure reliable material handling.
• Perform maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks and follow a structured preventive maintenance program on all critical systems.
• Conduct welding and fabrication work, including machining and structural repairs, to support equipment and facility needs
• Install, adjust, and repair general facility systems and equipment as needed.
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues and take corrective action before failures occur.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in accordance with site procedures.
• Collaborate with production and other maintenance team members to prioritize work and support continuous operations.
• Work overtime after regular shift when required and remain open to occasional weekend work as needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Waukegan, IL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Waukegan,IL.
