Senior Specialist, Derivatives Support

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:Independently perform and review daily OTC derivatives operational activities, including trade capture, lifecycle processing, and reconciliations.Investigate and resolve complex breaks or exceptions, performing root-cause analysis and proposing preventative actions.Escalate material issues, delivery risks, or potential client impacts clearly and promptly.Support daily operational sign-off activities by ensuring deliverables meet quality, timeliness, and control standards.Act as a subject-matter resource for Analysts, providing guidance on processes, investigations, and control expectations.Maintain and enhance process documentation, control descriptions, and audit-ready evidence.Support onboarding of new clients, products, or strategies, including parallel runs and controlled go-live activities.Participate in UAT, enhancements, and process improvement initiatives, including automation or workflow changes.Build strong working relationships with partner teams including Fund Accounting, Middle Office, Pricing, Technology, and Client Service.To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:Solid experience in OTC derivatives operations within Fund Accounting, Middle Office, or a related environment.Strong understanding of derivative trade lifecycle events and reconciliations.Proven ability to operate independently in a production environment with accountability for outcomes.Strong risk and control mindset with sound judgement around escalation and issue ownership.Advanced MS Excel skills; experience with data analysis or ETL tools beneficial.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.At BNY, our culture allows us to run our company better and enables employees’ growth and success.
