Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent / Field Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day field operations for commercial tenant improvement (TI) projects. This role is responsible for managing subcontractors, coordinating field activities, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring all work is completed safely and according to plans and specifications.

The ideal candidate has strong experience managing interior build-outs in office, retail, or commercial spaces and is comfortable working in fast-paced environments with tight construction schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily field operations for commercial tenant improvement projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Ensure all construction work complies with project plans, specifications, building codes, and safety requirements.
• Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
• Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality control and safety compliance.
• Identify and resolve field conflicts, design issues, or schedule delays.
• Coordinate inspections with city officials and building management when required.
• Maintain accurate field documentation including daily reports, progress updates, and site logs.
• Manage site logistics, deliveries, and material staging.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients regarding project progress.
• Ensure work areas remain organized, safe, and compliant with company policies.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction field supervision, preferably in commercial tenant improvement projects.
• Strong understanding of interior construction, including framing, drywall, ceilings, MEP coordination, and finish work.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and managing tight schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with building inspections and permit processes.
• OSHA certification preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with office, retail build-outs.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Procore construction management software.

Work Environment

• Primarily on construction sites across project locations.
• May involve managing multiple TI projects simultaneously.
• Work may occur during early morning, evening, or weekend hours depending on building requirements.

Salary:

• $85,000 – $110,000 per year (depending on experience)
