Desktop Support Technician

Key Responsibilities Provide desktop support for end users across the MD Anderson main campus and affiliated facilities. Support upcoming building activations and go-live events, ensuring successful onboarding of users, devices, and IT services. Perform workstation deployments, hardware installations, configuration, and replacement activities. Assist with enterprise device refresh initiatives, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, and related hardware. Troubleshoot and resolve complex desktop, hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Support ticket-based incidents and service requests while maintaining established service level expectations. Coordinate with infrastructure, networking, and application teams to resolve technical issues. Travel as needed to satellite locations, including Sugar Land and other healthcare facilities within the system. Document support activities, configurations, and issue resolutions accurately. Provide white-glove customer service to clinical, administrative, and executive stakeholders Required Qualifications 3+ years of desktop support, field support, or deployment experience in an enterprise environment. Experience with hardware deployments, refresh projects, and workstation migrations. Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows operating systems, desktop hardware, printers, and peripherals. Experience utilizing ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or similar platforms. Ability to support users in fast-paced, customer-facing environments. Strong communication and documentation skills. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between local facilities as needed Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
