Job Details Job Location: Garland, TX 75040 Position Type: Full‑Time/Part‑Time Salary Range: $20.00 - $24.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Any Job Category: Dining Services (Kitchen & Food Prep) Lead Cook Responsibilities Assist Dietary Supervisor on breakfast, lunch or dinner preparation, production or service lines Prepare hot and cold items as designated by Dietary Supervisor Prepare soup, sauces, salads, and desserts according to established standards and recipes Follow all health department practices, safety practices, and infection control practices Promptly discuss and resolve any potential food services and care coordination problems with team members and team leaders Work with Dietary Supervisor to manage leftovers and maintain proper inventory to keep costs in line Break down service line and clean work area as scheduled or instructed Get to know residents by communicating with team members, reviewing resident records, and direct conversation with residents Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service orientation with all residents and other team members Present a professional demeanor that communicates the corporate philosophy of service, goodwill, and genuine interest in each resident’s unique needs Other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be able to routinely follow written and verbal directions Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend for periods of up to eight hours Experience as an on‑line cook in food services preferred Training and experience attained through formal training or on‑the‑job training in appropriate techniques of resident care Compassion for senior adults required Push and pull up to 30 pounds Benefits Competitive salary Medical, dental, and vision coverage Life/AD&D insurance Flexible Spending Account Short Term Disability Accident Insurance Critical Illness Insurance Hospital Indemnity Insurance 401(k) plan with competitive match program Equal Opportunity Employer / Drug-Free Workplace #J-18808-Ljbffr Frontier Senior Living
