Location: Chicago, IL Experience Level: 2-5 years Workplace Type: Onsite Employment Type: Full Time A leading AmLaw 100 law firm is seeking an Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Associate to join its Corporate practice in Chicago. This is an excellent opportunity to work on venture capital financings, M&A, corporate governance, and other strategic transactions for startups, founders, investors, and growth-stage companies. Advise clients on corporate and venture capital matters. Draft and negotiate corporate and financing transaction documents. Handle venture capital financings, M&A, and general corporate transactions. Counsel clients on corporate governance and related business matters. Collaborate with attorneys and clients on sophisticated transactional matters. Qualifications: 2–5 years of meaningful corporate transactional experience in a law firm setting. Experience representing emerging companies and venture capital clients is strongly preferred. Knowledge of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, securities, and general corporate law. Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple sophisticated matters in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Outstanding academic credentials required.
