Payroll AdministratorNextStep Recruiting has partnered with a global consumer products organization to identify a Payroll Administrator in Irving, TX. This direct-hire position is 100% onsite and will take full ownership of the payroll function for approximately 270 employees across multiple states, supporting a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees.This position is ideal for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys owning the entire payroll lifecycle from processing through reconciliation and reporting. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, understands the accounting behind payroll, and can serve as the organization's payroll subject matter expert while continuously improving processes and controls.Required:5+ years of hands-on payroll experience with demonstrated ownership of full-cycle, multi-state payroll processingStrong knowledge of payroll compliance, payroll taxes, wage and hour requirements, and deductions including garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other court-ordered deductionsExperience processing bonuses, commissions, off-cycle payrolls, retroactive adjustments, special payments, and taxable fringe benefitsStrong payroll accounting experience, including journal entries, balance sheet and expense account reconciliations, accruals, and month/quarter/year-end supportAdvanced Excel skills with experience analyzing payroll data and preparing labor, headcount, overtime, compensation, and other management reportsPreferred:Paycom payroll processing experienceExperience administering 401(k) plans, including contributions, loans, distributions, census reporting, Form 5500 coordination, and audit supportExperience coordinating annual W-2 processing and other year-end payroll activitiesExperience developing and improving payroll procedures, internal controls, workflows, and documentationExperience supporting payroll system implementations, upgrades, testing, integrations, or process automation initiativesIf you're looking for an opportunity to fully own the payroll function, partner closely with Finance and HR, and serve as the go-to payroll expert within an established global organization, we'd love to connect.NextStep Recruiting provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants regardless of race, color, or applicable state and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment in every location where the company has facilities.
