Marketing & Operations Executive

Location: Cumbria Salary: To be discussed, depending on experience. Job Type: Self-Employed Hours: Full time but flexible with some days working remotely and days off. Northern Competitions is a fast growing online competitions business with exciting plans for the future, and this is a fantastic opportunity to become a key part of that journey. This isn’t simply a role where you’ll just complete a list of daily tasks. Ryan is looking for someone who will genuinely invest in the business, treating it as if it were their own. You’ll work closely together, helping to shape the future of Northern Competitions through fresh ideas, creative marketing and exceptional day-to-day support. About You We’re looking for someone who is as passionate about growing the business as Ryan is. You’ll enjoy taking ownership, bringing new ideas to the table and being involved in every aspect of the business. Key Responsibilities Plan, create and schedule email marketing campaigns using Klaviyo. Develop new marketing campaigns and promotional ideas to grow the brand. Create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and other social media platforms. Attend filming days alongside Ryan, assisting with content creation and promotions. Film and edit high-quality video content for social media. Reply to customer messages across social media platforms in a professional and friendly manner. Upload and manage online competitions. Process and pay competition winners accurately. Support the day-to-day operations of the business. Monitor customer engagement and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience. Help launch new competitions and promotional campaigns. Identify ways to improve business processes and contribute ideas for continued growth. Take ownership of projects and become a trusted right-hand support to Ryan. You’ll ideally have: Experience in marketing, social media or digital content creation. Experience using Klaviyo or similar email marketing software. Strong videography and video editing skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A creative mindset with the confidence to suggest new ideas. A calm approach and the ability to work well under pressure. Ambition, enthusiasm and a genuine desire to see the business succeed. The ability to work independently and manage your own workload. Essential Requirements Full UK driving license. Successful completion of a DBS check before starting.
