Personal Injury Paralegal

Whitecap Search is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join a prestigious NJ-based law firm's legal team. The successful candidate will support attorneys in all aspects of personal injury litigation, from initial client intake through settlement or trial.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with case management, including drafting and filing legal documents, managing discovery, and preparing for depositions and trials.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for case preparation.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather information and provide updates on case progress.
• Maintain and organize case files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Coordinate with medical providers to obtain necessary records and reports.
• Prepare settlement demands and assist in negotiating settlements.
• Track and manage deadlines for court filings and other legal procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury law or related field.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with case management software.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Experience with trial preparation and support.
