Overview
Registered Nurse – PCU (Travel) in a hospital setting, Carbondale, Illinois. Start date 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay between $2,492 and $2,632. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Nights. This travel assignment is in a Progressive Care Unit with a focus on cardiac and respiratory patients, requiring collaborative care within a dynamic, patient-centered team.

Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs; develop and execute an individualized plan of care in coordination with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide patient and family education, explanations, and instructions regarding care plans and treatment
- Demonstrate clinical nursing judgment to recognize and report changes in patient condition promptly
- Implement interventions, monitor patient responses, and document care and outcomes accurately
- Maintain compliant, complete medical records and contribute to quality improvement and core measure initiatives
- Collaborate with colleagues to sustain a supportive, professional work environment and participate in ongoing continuing education

Requirements
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification or documented requirement to possess NIHSS
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to work nights, with the potential for every other weekend and holiday coverage
- Overtime availability with flexible scheduling, while block schedules cannot be guaranteed
- Experience or demonstrated ability to float to ICU when needed (preferred)
