Lead Accounting Manager

The Role:As an Accounting Manager, you will lead a small team of general ledger accounting professionals through month end close, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. You will be expected to provide guidance and support to the team, resolve issues, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting functions, practices, and US GAAP principles, as well as excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. You will work closely with cross-functional departments within the company to ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal policies.The Accounting Supervisor will:Responsible for the overall accounting deliverables for assigned businessesMentor accountants on accounting processes and procedures and provide feedback and coaching to team members to reinforce or modify behaviors for improved performance and goal attainmentAnalyze and resolve complex accounting, reporting, and process issues across reporting lines and departmentsReview and verify monthly journal entries prepared by accountants for the monthly/quarterly/year-end accounting closeReview detailed balance sheet account reconciliations and corresponding support to verify accuracy of the financial numbers and support the resolution of reconciling itemsReview and support the research of monthly variances of balance sheet and P&L accountsWork on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factorsSupport monthly intercompany reconciliationsEnsure accuracy and compliance of financial statement schedules in accordance with US GAAP and internal policiesWork with the internal/external auditors and gather supporting documentationPrepare quarter-end/year-end financial reporting schedulesIdentify potential process improvements, document new policies and procedures, and contribute to sound internal control developmentAssist Accounting Controller and Corporate Accounting in ad hoc analysis and other projectsRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required; Master’s degree preferred10+ years professional accounting experienceStrong understanding and knowledge of general accounting functions, practices, and US GAAP principlesExcellent analytical, organizational, and time management skillsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to multitask and lead teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentDetail oriented, good judgment and logical decision-making ability with a hands-on approachPrior experience in global organization and software industry preferredPrior experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Cognos preferredMust be fluent in EnglishEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERSOLERA HOLDINGS, INC., AND ITS US SUBSIDIARIES (TOGETHER, SOLERA) IS AN EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER.
