We are looking for talented people to continue to grow and contribute to our team. Role Description Joaquin Manufacturing is looking to hire a skilled and motivated Purchaser to join our team. As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for managing purchasing requests, sourcing materials based on drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs), negotiating pricing, maintaining strong supplier relationships, supporting inventory management, organizing material data / specifications, and overseeing incoming material coordination to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with production needs. This role ensures materials are procured at the best value while meeting quality standards and production timelines. This position plays a key role in cost control, supply chain stability, material availability, and vendor performance management within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. I.Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies a.Required Qualifications i.High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related fields preferred ii.Proven experience in purchasing or procurement – ideally within a manufacturing environment iii.Ability to read and interpret drawings and BOMs iv.Strong understanding of material costing and pricing structures v.Experience negotiating contracts and supplier agreements vi.Proficiency in ERP or purchasing systems vii.Working knowledge of inventory control principles viii.Strong analytical and organizational skills b.Preferred Qualifications i.Experience in modular construction, electrical, or structural manufacturing ii.Knowledge of commodity market and supply chain trends iii.Experience supporting warehouse or inventory operations iv.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles v.Experience in freight logistics c.Skills and Competencies i.BOM analysis and material takeoffs ii.Cost analysis and price negotiation iv.Inventory planning and replenishment support v.ERP and purchasing system proficiency vi.Strong relationship building skills vii.Strategic and cost-conscious mindset viii.Attention to detail and accuracy ix.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines x.Strong communication and cross functional collaboration II.Additional Requirements Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment Interaction with suppliers and logistics providers Frequent coordination with other functional teams #J-18808-Ljbffr JoaQuin Manufacturing Corporation
