Registered Nurse - IR/Special Procedures

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse specializes in Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures, providing expert patient care during complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role involves working collaboratively with medical teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Coordinate and perform nursing care for patients undergoing IR/Special Procedures, ensuring all protocols are strictly followed.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs and responses during procedures, responding swiftly to any adverse events.
  
  
• 
  Prepare and maintain sterile environments, equipment, and supplies required for various procedures.
  
  
• 
  Document patient information, procedural details, and clinical observations accurately and thoroughly.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families about procedures, post-care instructions, and potential risks.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and support staff to facilitate seamless procedural workflows.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid California RN license with current registration.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in IR or related specialties.
  
  
• 
  Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or ARC).
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
  
  
• 
  Be flexible to work day shifts, weekends, rotating call, and floating as needed.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
