Nail Technician

Summary: Provides high-quality manicure and pedicure services to members and guests while maintaining the highest standards of sanitation, professionalism, and member service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Greets all members and guests in a warm, friendly professional manner.
• Provide high-quality manicures, pedicures, gel services, and specialty nail treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety in compliance with Florida state regulations.
• Deliver a personalized and elevated member experience with attention to detail.
• Maintain nail tools, equipment, and inventory levels.
• Promote additional spa services and retail products when appropriate.
• Build strong, ongoing relationships with members to encourage repeat bookings.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor reflective of a private club environment.
• Assist with seasonal events or member appreciation days as needed.
• Maintains education on the latest manicure and pedicure treatments and products, and has complete knowledge of all spa service presently offered by the Club.
• Answers guest’s questions in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
• Creates and maintains client cards with treatment notes when appropriate.
• Attends and participates in staff meetings and support training for the department/spa.
• Performs all prep and side work, and properly restocks room(s) as required.
• Informs Spa Director of any member, guest, or facility issues.
• Reports any incidents or accidents to a member of the management team.
• Adheres to all Club policies and procedures.

Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid State of Florida Nail Specialist License.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception.
