Job Description

Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist performs diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging procedures to produce high-quality images for physician interpretation. They work as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI systems, coils, and related equipment to capture diagnostic images.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and immobilization to optimize image quality.
• Verify patient information, obtain consent, and explain procedures to minimize anxiety.
• Assist physicians with interventional MRI procedures and administer contrast media as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, including magnetic resonance safety principles and aseptic techniques.
• Complete all documentation, including radiology information systems and image archiving.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited radiography or MRI technologist program.
• ARRT MRI registration and ARRT Radiography registration required.
• Valid BLS certification.
• Proven experience as an MRI Technologist in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols and patient care.
• Ability to operate advanced MRI equipment and software effectively.
