Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Tennessee license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:

In order to receive travel rate, clinician’s claimed residence must match address on driver’s license. Ascension Health does not accept vaccine/Tdap declinations.

Required Credentials: Driver’s license is required for RN/LPN/PTs working on a compact license. Ascension EKG Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed. Ascension Medical Surgical Exam required during onboarding; minimum passing score of 80%, 2 attempts allowed.

Special Requests: Current Ascension employees cannot apply for travel roles. Candidates need to have employment separation for at least 6 months to be considered for a travel position.

Unit Details: Cares for renal medical patients (peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis) as well as general medical patients. Patient population: young adult through late adult (18 - 60+). Variable staffing grid includes RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and nurse interns; RNs assume full responsibility for patients on each team.

Floating Requirements: May float to different units or facilities based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity. Travelers will always be notified before their scheduled shift if a float assignment is required.
