Duties include ensuring the project(s) are on budget, schedule, and the design fits the requirements for the contracts. Will supervise construction management team, which may consist of Construction Manager(s), Assistant Construction Manager(s), Field/Project Engineer(s), field administrative staff and other project staff as assigned. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for providing the following services or for supervising the Construction Management team members who perform these services:Construction Management, Quality Control/Quality Assurance, and InspectionsProvides construction management services on DSA multiple or complex projectsStrong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements for DSA projectsResponsible as onsite liaison with contractor and oversight of progress of constructionCoordinates, directs, and monitors activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entitiesManages project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures or as required by the clientConducts project meetings and provides meeting minutes, documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant informationEnsures contractors, architects, and engineers will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipmentProvides management of project logistics, organization and safetyEnsures project closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for turnover to the owner, including DSA closeout requirementsEnsures project team adheres to safety requirementsPerforms other duties as required to ensure project successMinimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture is required Minimum of 9 years of experience as a Construction Manager and an additional 3 years of experience as a Senior Construction Manager supervising staff is requiredExperience with DSA / public projects in CaliforniaUnderstanding of Linear and Vertical ConstructionStrong oral and written communication skills Knowledge and application of construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related Construction Management systems Ability to handle multiple contractors and multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously is requiredRegistration as an Architect, Professional Engineer, and/or licensed as a General Contractor is preferredCertified Construction Manager preferredVanir offers a comprehensive, competitive benefits package that includes 401(k) Savings with employer matching contributions, medical, dental, vision, health savings account (HSA) with employer contributions, life, AD&D and disability benefits, flexible spending account (FSA), voluntary benefits, Teladoc, pet insurance, paid time off, national employee assistance program (EAP) and employee referral program.How to ApplyIf you're interested in working for Vanir please visit our website to learn more and to apply online at .VEVRAA Federal ContractorRequest Priority Protected Veteran ReferralsEOE Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/DisabledContact Email: View email address on click.appcast.io with medical limitations may, with reasonable accommodations, be capable of performing the duties of this position.
