Assistant Physical Therapist

Position Overview: Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, ensuring effective treatment and accurate documentation in line with policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Follow ethical standards set by the American Physical Therapy Association and state licensing boards. Deliver treatments efficiently according to the plan of care and physician’s orders. Communicate effectively with therapists to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Maintain detailed clinical documentation, including progress notes and billing information. Assist with scheduling, paperwork, and clinical education of students. Charge patients appropriately for treatments under supervision. Qualifications & Skills Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in the practice state. Effective communication skills, visual acuity, and ability to work collaboratively. Ability to perform essential job functions and adhere to safety and regulatory standards. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from an accredited program. Less than one year of related experience or training.
