Project Manager - Self Perform Concrete

Job Description

Project Manager - Data Centers - Self Perform Concrete - Fredericksburg, VA

\n

\n

Salary: up to $140,000 plus truck/car allowance

\n

Location: Fredericksburg, VA - with travel to DC metro office 1-2 times per month.

\n

\n

About the opportunity

\n

\n

We are representing a national self-perform concrete contractor with a rapidly growing Mid-Atlantic business unit. The region is doubling its revenue and this is an addition to the team rather than a replacement.

\n

\n

This is trade-side, not general contracting. You would be managing the concrete package on large mission critical and data center builds, with your own field organization delivering the work.

\n

\n

All applications are treated in the strictest confidence.

\n

\n

The role

\n

\n

You will run the project execution process on your assigned data center work - planning it, resourcing it, tracking it and owning the commercial outcome.

\n

\n

\n
• Own the project plan, programme and financial performance on your projects
\n
• Work with the field leadership team to plan and sequence the concrete scope
\n
• Manage cost reporting, forecasting, change orders, procurement and billing
\n
• Run the weekly planning cycle with the field and project teams
\n
• Act as the main point of contact for the GC or CM and the client
\n
• Coordinate manpower, equipment and materials to hit production targets
\n
• Maintain safety and quality standards across your work
\n

\n

\n

Requirements

\n

\n

\n
• Data center or mission critical construction experience. This is essential and applications without it will not be considered
\n
• Concrete construction background - foundations, mat slabs, slab on grade, walls, elevated decks and structural work
\n
• Experience managing project financials - budgets, forecasting, change orders and cost reporting
\n
• Ideally from a self-perform concrete contractor. Candidates from a general contractor's self-perform concrete division will also be considered
\n
• Comfortable working on large scale sites with multiple concurrent work areas
\n
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future
\n

\n

\n

Please do not apply if

\n

\n

\n
• You have no data center or mission critical experience
\n
• Your background is purely general contracting with no self-perform concrete exposure
\n
• You have coordinated concrete as a subcontract package but never managed the work itself
\n

\n

\n

What is on offer

\n

\n

\n
• Up to $140,000 base
\n
• Truck or car allowance
\n
• Medical and dental insurance, voluntary vision
\n
• 401k with company match, plus HSA option
\n
• Profit share, which every employee participates in
\n
• Structured mentorship, training and a defined career path
\n
• A business unit doubling its revenue, so genuine progression rather than a static seat
\n
