Staff Accountant - Cash Management

Who You’ll Work With:The Revenue Accounting team of AB is in search of a Staff Accountant - Cash Management to join their U.S. Controller’s organization. The candidate will report to the Manager of Revenue Accounting. What You’ll Do:The Staff Accountant - Cash Management will be involved in the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, bank account analysis and aging receivable analysis. This role partners with other departments including Accounts Payable, Billing, Treasury, General Accounting and international counterparts.Record customer paymentsRecord incoming cash for non-customer paymentsRecord various outgoing non-supplier wire paymentsDeposit and record physical checksReconcile bank statement transactions with ledger entriesReconcile accounts receivable balancesReconcile/resolve remittance on account/unapplied paymentsProcess customer refundsResolve payment discrepancies with Billing dept.Calculate allowance for doubtful accounts/record reserve changesMonitor integration of receivable and revenue transactions into ledgerRespond to internal and external inquiries, ad hoc requests and projects as requiredWhat We’re Looking For:2+ years of accounting experienceBachelor’s degree in accountingUnderstanding of US GAAPAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingWell-organized with the ability to prioritize and work independentlyStrong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilityProficiency in standard desktop applications (excel, word, outlook, etc.)About ABWe are a leading global investment management firm offering high-quality research and diversified investment services to institutional clients, retail investors, and private-wealth clients in major markets around the globe.
