Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Civil Engineer to provide professional review and authentication of work for a Refinery Pipeline Replacement project. The individual will be responsible for reviewing COC’s work, stamping civil deliverables, and providing input on geotechnical scope of work development. This position will involve highly variable and less than full-time hours.

Job Description

• Review COC’s work for the Refinery Pipeline Replacement project and provide professional authentication.
• Stamp civil deliverables.
• Provide input on geotechnical scope of work development.
• Provide design, specification, and services related to structures and foundations made of concrete, steel, wood, or engineered products for structures, platforms, bridges, pipe racks, buildings, and related applications.
• Supervise and lead a group of engineers.
• Set the technical standards and procedures of a group of engineers and designers.
• Conduct various aspects of performance management, including performance appraisal or counseling of employees with behavioral or technical performance problems.
• Assist in the interviewing, hiring, and assignment of new personnel within the discipline.
• Supervise engineers on all projects requiring this discipline

Skills Required

• Minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Average experience for this level is 20+ years.
• Experience with the design, specification, and engineering services related to civil/structural structures and foundations.
• Ability to provide professional authentication and stamp civil deliverables.
• Ability to provide technical input on geotechnical scope of work development.
• Ability to supervise and lead engineers and provide technical oversight.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering.
• Must be a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer in Ontario, Canada.
• Ontario P.Eng. license in Civil or Civil/Structural Engineering is required.
