RN Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Rheumatology

Position Summary The Clinical Nurse Coordinator serves as a key member of the Rheumatology care team, coordinating and managing patient care throughout the continuum of care while acting as a clinical resource and patient advocate. The Rheumatology Division offers a variety of specialized outpatient clinics across the St. Louis region, providing individualized treatment and support for patients with arthritis, musculoskeletal disorders, autoimmune diseases, and other inflammatory conditions. Experience caring for patients with autoimmune, inflammatory, musculoskeletal, or immunosuppressive conditions is strongly preferred. Location: SAINT LOUIS, MO 63110 Scheduled Hours: 40 Schedule: Monday‑Friday 8‑5pm Locations: Provide support to 2‑3 locations in the surrounding St. Louis area (North County, West County, South County, and the Center for Advanced Medicine). Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patients; complete health history and physical examination; convey findings to physician. Coordinate patient care, order diagnostic tests, convey findings to physician, attend inpatient rounds, coordinate patient appointments and assist with referrals to outside sources. Assist physician and provide support with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care. Perform a variety of nursing administrative duties, including compliance with environmental safety regulations, infection control standards and quality assurance. Act as liaison and team leader by facilitating communication and coordination of care between patients, families and health team members; explain routines and procedures to patients and coordinate patient care information to appropriate sources. Physical Effort: Typically sitting at desk or table; typically standing or walking; typically bending, crouching, stooping; occasional lifting (25 lbs or less). Equipment: Office equipment, clinical/diagnostic equipment. Required Qualifications Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Registered Nursing. Certifications/Professional Licenses: Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, Basic Life Support - American Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Registered Nurse - Missouri Division of Professional Registration. Salary Grade S26 Salary Range: $64,500.00 - $109,900.00 / Annually. The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
