Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Behavioral Health Director, manages the SHINE program to ensure compliance with the County of San Diego Probation Department contract and other contractors. The Manager is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the staff implementing Functional Family Therapy and to provide clinical supervision to trainees, interns and associates. Must demonstrate knowledge of trauma informed, client driven, and culturally competent care.

 

Required Qualifications

• MA degree in social work, counseling, or psychology required.
• Must be licensed plus 2 or license eligible by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC).
• Must possess the ability to make sound clinical decisions independently and effectively coach and guide clinicians and paraprofessionals who have a variety of education and experience.
• One year of experience implementing the Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model preferred; if not, will need to be trained in FFT and carry a caseload for 1 year.
• Bilingual/bicultural desired.

 

Responsibilities

• Assures that the agency consistently provides high quality, professional counseling and psychotherapy services, maintains appropriate documentation, stays current on research and developments in the field, and disseminates "best practice" information to the clinical staff as appropriate.
• Provides clinical and administrative supervision to behavioral health trainees, interns, and licensed staff, including orientation, individual, family, and group supervision and evaluation of performance.
• Assists with recruitment, hiring, training and scheduling of clinicians, case managers, parent partners, admin coordinators and other program staff.
• Designs and supervises behavior analytic interventions and can effectively develop and implement appropriate assessment and intervention methods for use in unfamiliar situations and for a range of cases
• Assist the site in creating greater self-sufficiency in FFT, while also maintaining and enhancing site adherence/competence in the FFT model
• Attend two two-day supervisor training courses and support calls by FFT during monthly phone consultations
• Fulfill all requirements to become certified in FFT in the time allotted
• Ensure data that measures site/therapist adherence, service delivery trends, and outcomes is entered into FFT CSS database
• Ensures quality assurance through direct monitoring of clinicians, client satisfaction surveys, chart review, peer review and related activities to ensure quality of services.
• Responsible for contract compliance, reporting, goals and objectives, quality assurance system, charting, billing and documentation.
• Engages in component and program development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Responsible for the training and compliance of HIPPA laws.
• Coordinates or provides substance abuse and mental health services training, and other related staff development activities.
• Coordination and collaboration among all programs and services and provide support to an integrated case-management approach to client services.
• Collaborate and maintain professional relationships with Juvenile Court, Juvenile Probation and Law Enforcement entities as specified by the FFT Program, to include receiving referrals and providing progress reports
• Participate in all required meetings and training courses
• Stays informed of and disseminates to staff information related to the legal and ethical issues involved in the counseling and psychiatric field.
• Participates in other duties as assigned.

 

Additional Requirement

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportationwith a good driving record.
• Willing to use own, properly insured, reliable vehicle for the job (mileage reimbursed).
• Employment subject to clearances, including background finger printing checks, driving record, tuberculosis testing, and drug testing.

 

Work Schedule

Full- time 40 hours per week (flexible hours)

 

Schedule/Compensation

• Monday – Friday (Evening hours required and may include weekends)
• Salary will be commensurate with experience and education. Differential pay offered for bilingual
