Solenoid Design Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for Electromagnetic analysis, Coil design and Engineering calculations.In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:Prepare engineering documentation including participation in design reviewsConduct product and system level testing in an engineering laboratory while following safety practices and guidelinesSupport production launch activities for solenoid based productsContribute to cost reduction projects for existing series productsCollaborate with team members and cross-functional teams to meet and optimize product design requirements.Communicate results clearly and coordinate with team membersSupport and drive organizational initiativesWho You AreYou will quickly and decisively take action to find the right solution, anticipate customer needs and provides services that are beyond customer expectations. Focusing on Innovation, Collaboration, Communication and self-development.For This Role, You Will Need:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related fieldMinimum of 5+ years of experience in magnetics designProficiency in finite element and magnetic analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS Maxwell)Strong understanding of solenoid design, including pull force calculations, permanent magnet applications, sensors, and circuit simulationsWorking knowledge of various magnetic materials and their propertiesExperience in designing solenoid driver circuitsBasic understanding of power management and control schemesStrong problem-solving abilities with a hands-on approach. Highly motivated with a willingness to learn and growDemonstrated experience building and assembling prototype solenoids for testing and validationStrong written, verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Physics with10+ years of relevant experienceSolenoid Valve experience with a strong understanding of reliability factors related to solenoids and coil designKnowledge of solenoid manufacturing and automation processesExperience of working in a global matrix engineering environmentExpertise in electromagnetic-mechanical systems, including electric motors and electric/magnetic damping technologiesOur Culture & Commitment to You​​At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
